As children, we all have heard and read the story of the famous Robinson Crusoe who is cast away at a remote island for more than 25 years and is forced to lead the life of a loner amongst native Americans and captives before being rescued. A motion picture was also made on the same premise in the year 2000 called Cast Away starring Tom Hanks who faces similar situations and experiences. We all read and simply wonder about the massiveness of such circumstances and admire the courage of the protagonists; secretly intrigued by their adventure. There are many such stories told based on such travel experiences that we have gone through and now a game called Island: Castaway 1.0 has also been created that depicts such a situation amongst a group of people.

Island: Castaway upon launch opens with a interesting and vivid looking interface displaying the chief controls at the left and bottom panel and the main screen showing intuitive graphics. The main storyline of the game involves the wreckage of an ocean liner and the stranding of the group of survivors on a tropical island. Each of them has a talent of their own and soon they learn that there is certainly more to this place than they can see with naked eyes. There are secret inscriptions on sand and many other such experiences that they encounter. The chief protagonist called Tom Allison is to be played by the user and it is his responsibility to find out the hidden mysteries of this place and protect the groups from dangerous animals and natural hazards.

To conclude, Island: Castaway 1.0 certainly attains impressive rankings owing to its interesting premise and thrilling adventure that it offers to the players and hence gets a rating of four points for its suitable performance.
